Kennewick Dental Crowns

Your smile deserves royal treatment

High-quality tooth protection

Your teeth go through a lot, and sometimes, they can get severely damaged. Whether it’s due to decay, fractures, or serious cracks, damaged teeth need a sturdy cap that fixes and shields them from further damage.

Porcelain crowns do just that — by covering the visible area of a damaged tooth, they protect it and restore its shape, size, and function, allowing you to eat, speak, and smile with ease.

If you have a:

  • Broken, cracked, or severely worn tooth
  • Missing tooth
  • Tooth that has had/needs root canal treatment
  • An untreated cavity

Our Kennewick dental crowns may be just what your smile needs. Book an appointment online with Dr. Holmes or call (509) 783-2067.

FAQ about dental crowns

Who can benefit from a dental crown?

Crowns are an excellent solution for anyone who needs to protect a weak tooth, restore a broken or severely worn-down tooth, cover a tooth with a large filling, or improve the appearance of discolored or misshapen teeth. They’re also used as the final step of a dental implant and root canal treatment, or to hold a dental bridge in place.

How long does the procedure take?

Crowns typically require 2 appointments. During your first visit, Dr. Holmes will prepare your tooth and create an impression of your mouth. Then, he’ll place a temporary crown while the permanent one is being made at one of our top-rated local laboratories. The second visit will involve fitting the permanent crown onto your tooth.

Does getting a porcelain crown hurt?

Your comfort is our priority! Dr. Holmes will make sure you feel at ease at all times. He’ll use local anesthesia to numb your tooth and ensure you don’t feel any pain. Some patients do experience minor discomfort in the area after the procedure, but this is only temporary.

How long do porcelain crowns last?

With proper care, porcelain crowns can last 10-15 years — and even longer! Make sure to keep up with your oral hygiene to ensure your crown lasts for as long as possible.

Will my porcelain crown look natural?

Absolutely! One of the advantages of porcelain crowns is that they are tailored to match the color, shape, and size of your natural teeth, making them a great option for a natural-looking smile.
